Eligibility & Selection
Defined eligibility and selection criteria ensure that opportunities reach the most capable and committed applicants — maximizing the impact of available training resources, while preserving transparency and fairness.
1. General Principles
- Transparency and fairness in publishing conditions and selection mechanisms
- Equal opportunity among applicants, with clear and announced priority groups
- Alignment between the applicant's goals and the initiative's purpose
- Criteria scale with track level (foundational / technical / advanced)
2. Core Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a Syrian citizen
- Resident inside the Syrian Arab Republic at time of application
- Core age range, e.g. 16-40 years, with justified exceptions
- Minimum schooling (e.g. completed preparatory or secondary education or equivalent)
- Advanced technical tracks may require a higher educational or scientific background
- For advanced tracks, ability to read and comprehend technical terms in English
- Willingness to commit to the required weekly hours, attend interactive sessions, and deliver tasks on time
Priority Criteria (when applicants exceed capacity)
- Motivation and personal readiness as shown in the application or short interview
- Discipline and commitment in prior training stages (where applicable)
- Relative priority for groups most economically and socially disadvantaged
- Children of martyrs and people directly affected by the war
- Residents of regions with the least access to educational and training opportunities
